It was interesting to learn how other countries prepare for and celebrate the holiday season. Sorority members shared some of their family traditions at Christmas. Following the meeting, several several members shared in the Chapter's annual cookie exchange. exchange. Xi Zeta Lambda members joined with the two Beta Sigma Phi Ritual of Jewels chapters for the Christmas dinner held at the Lions Centre. After a delicious turkey dinner, prepared by the Lioness Club and served by the Lions, members members were entertained by the talented ventriloquist, Mrs. Beula Buckwald and her puppet friends. Among the favourites were "Grandma and Grandpa." Singing Christmas carols and songs helped make for a most enjoyable evening that was hosted by Kappa Delta. Ann Warren, who has transferred to a Port Hope chapter, was presented with a transferee gift. We will miss seeing her on a regular basis but hope she will visit us when she is in the Bowmanville Area. Santa couldn't come personally personally to our Christmas meeting and social but Cathy Koenderman, our president, gave us the good word that one of his elves had come to distribute the gifts for the Secret Sister Exchange. Lisa Koenderman Koenderman did a great job helping on Santa's behalf. After trying trying to guess who might be our secret sister, hostess Mary Ann Denard was assisted assisted by Leona Wolitski and Susan Cookson serving delicious Christmas treats. A wine and cheese party will be held during the holiday holiday season at Roz and Nelson Nelson Yeo's home. Lynda Gibson Gibson will be hosting our first meeting in January. Members of our chapter wish you a very happy and safe holiday season. Elizabeth Bateman Enniskillen Mr. and Mrs. Ted Worry's grandchildren from Sudbury Sudbury are spending the holidays holidays with them. Mrs. Wilfred Bowman and Miss Myrtle Tamblyn attended attended Mr. and Mrs. Eric Bowman's Pre-Christmas Supper Party on December 13th. On Sunday, December 21st, Pre-Christmas Family Dinner Party and Gift Exchange Exchange was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright with Trevor Wright acting as Santa Claus in his full Santa Claus suit. Miss Mary Elisabeth MacMillan, R.R. #1 Bowmanville, was also with the Wright clan for the Christmas party. Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Dickey, Dickey, Bowmanville, were Sunday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stainton. Mr. and Mrs. John Bor- rowdale, Oshawa, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McGill, were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Virtue. Miss Myrtle Tamblyn visited visited with friends in Toronto on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Howe along with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dickson, Bewdley, visited at Carp with Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dickson, on December December 19th and 20th. Miss Michelle Leadbea- ter, Oshawa, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anger, Bowmanville, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Art Leadbeater. By all reports, the Enniskillen Enniskillen Public School Concert Concert on December 18th was a very enjoyable one with several from the area attending. attending. Mr. and Mrs. Len Stainton had Sunday lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hope, Blackstock. Miss Betty Wright spent part of Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Lou Griffin.
