Happenings at tncent assey Dcirlinffton Soccer Today I interviewed two of Miss Gibson's grade two's, Stephanie Harper and Michael Jackson. In their spare time they like to play with the blocks or cut and paste. Their favorite subjects are math. They also really like to make up their own booklets. Their favorite trip was Harbour Front where they got to go on a big boat and then go shopping shopping later on. Michael and Stephanie are really looking forward to the summer holiday and even though I didn't interview the whole class I'm pretty sure they're looking forward to summer too! Kim Archer Here is a story written by Robbie Lament in Mrs. Michaelis's class. It is called "The Space War." In the year 2001 the scientist discovered alien life forms trying to take over the planet. The commander's name was Zorgal. Second in command was Zaxxon. So they sent a squadron of space ships up to destroy the shadow creatures. The spaceships names were Ecto 1, Ecto 2, and Ecto 3. When the squadron got up there the Aliens were ready. The war was on. Ecto 3 was shot down and so was Ecto 2. Ecto 1 was finally shot down but the man wasn't killed. His name was Bob. He put on his space mask and jumped. He Thursday, JUNE 11th "MEXICAN NIGHT" Hot • Hot • Hot Whole Mexican Pizzas o nly2.99 ) TEQUILA . all night long MARGARITAS by the gallon. He flew in on the space ship, then he sabotaged the Alien driver. He hid with the alien's gun. When he saw the soldiers he let them walk down the hall yelling all the way. When he got there he blasted through the Aliens. He ran back down the hall yelling. Finally he was trapped. Then he really started started to think. He thought if they are shadow creatures, turn out the lights and they will disappear. So he looked all over the walls. He couldn't find a light switch. He got caught and was taken to jail. On the way he saw the fuse box. Then he had an idea. He used the gun, he hid in his coat. Bob blasted the door then he ran to the fuse box. He defused the fuse box. For a long time he wandered around. He finally fixed the fuse box. He radioed home and they sent a spaceship to pick him up. They never saw another shadow creature again. Kim MacMaster Mrs. Medd's class has done many interesting things this week. They have just finished provincial studies in E.S. They also did a very good group of projects on their province. They are now starting a unit on plants. In math they are doing fractions. In language they are learning parts of speech. The class just finished their swimming lessons and are now practicing track and field events. The computer in their classroom is very popular right now because they have a great Garfield animating program. Shawn Barclay Can you tell the difference between a parallelogram and a triangle?
