Each person present received a pen inscribed "Wannan Family Reunion" and also a can of pop. There had been a nice summer summer man's hat donated with a sign on it "Free to a Good Home." It mysteriously disappeared disappeared and it was not missed until the end of the day. Wonder who got it and hope the "hat fits." Hope to see more families next year at the picnic in June. BETHANY Bethany Outdoor Theatre has received a grant from the federal government through the CHALLENGE '87 EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE DEVELOPMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (SEED) for $1,691.00. The grant is being used to employ one student for eight weeks, and to help with some administrative administrative costs. Robertson Druery (Rob) from Lakefield, Ontario, has been working with the Bethany Outdoor Theatre . Group, as project assistant, I sine May 25 and will continue continue his duties until July 17, 1987. His tasks and responsibilities responsibilities encompass many areas such as stage planning, ticket sales, publicity/promotion, publicity/promotion, fund raising raising and writing a summary at the end of the project. All of which will further his studies at the University of Toronto, where he has just finished a three year B.A. in English and Drama. Rob will be returning to U of T in the fall to study for his fourth year Honour B.A. He hopes to start his own theatre group sometime in the future. Elizabeth Zathmary, artistic artistic director of the Inner Stage Group, from Toronto, has been re-writing "APOSTLE "APOSTLE OF LIGHT", the life of Christ as seen through the Gospel of St. John, for Bethany Outdoor Theatre. The revision will be one hour and a half long and performed for the first time, at Devil's Elbow, Bethany, Ontario. It will be enacted through liturgical drama, dance and song. Velveteen Rabbit will be presented as well for the very young in the audience. An adult choir made up of volunteers and under the direction of Ruth Warburton will sing at the beginning of the Program Program and at intermission, Bethany Outdoor Theatre's event is geared for the family family and is ecumenical.
