Mr. and Mrs. Sid Bar- raball have returned home, after enjoying a delightful three week trip to East Coast. Calling on several old friends and upon arrival arrival home, travelled to Bolton Bolton to visit their daughter Sheila and family. They all attended the C.N.E. and witnessed witnessed their granddaughter Patricia (daughter of son Bob, Oshawa) take part in seven classes for riding horses. This young lady captured captured 6 prizes to the delight of her grandparents. Sunday evening turned very cool and makes one think summer is on the way out! Most crops throughout area are coming in about 2 weeks early and with so much wind, we are quite dry. Our granddaughter's report from Nova Scotia says they have had little or no rain for several months^ in their area. Mrs. B. Touchburn and Mrs. Edith Taylor were last Monday dinner guests of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Welsh, Salem. Mrs. Inez Harris has returned returned home after enjoying a month's holiday visiting her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sears and family, Gimli, Manitoba. While there everyone visited Mrs. Harris' sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Grunerud, St. Cloud, Minn., USA. Over 90 friends, relatives and old neighbors joined Mr. Harvey Aiken (my father) in celebrating his 90th birthday last Thursday, Thursday, August 20, at his daughters, Albert and Bar bara Munneke, Franklin House, Bethany, Ont.
