It was a great relief to have the steady rainfall last Friday night ... and a pleasure to see the change it brought about in the garden, lawn etc. There was a chill in the air last night and it was a distinct reminder that our summer days will soon be over. The Fall Fairs We wish to commend the Blackstock (Cartwright) Fair Board for a most successful event once again. Many residents from this area were on hand to give their support to the 122nd annual one day Fair. Our heartist congratulations! Port Perry Fair is "gearing" up to go this coming weekend ... Sept. 5, 6 & 7, the Labour Day Weekend ... a three day event with activities for all ages to enjoy. Try to attend this interesting Fair ... you won't be disappointed!
