My name is Christopher Wade Bateman and I celebrated by fourth birthday on July 29th, 1987 Helping me celebrate were my Mom and Dad, Caroline and Wes and little brother Justin. My proud grandmother is Mrs. Rita Bateman of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and my proud grandfather is Mr. Mike Kuruliak of Bowmanville. It's surprising how a little make-up can change a person's face. Councillor Hal McKnight, a member of the Bowmanville Museum Board of Directors, took part in the Cabbage Patch Birthday on Saturday, Au gust 22. Councillor McKnight helped to blow up balloons balloons and allowed museum secretary, Ellen Logan, to paint his face with a heart and a rainbow. ORÏTÏTARY Pontypool District Happenings On the weekend of August bonne aro hucu ihic cummor Grant Silas Williams passed away April 20, 1987 in his 57th year. He was born at Hampton Ont., March 17, 1931, son of the late Lloyd Williams and i Thelma McMullen. In 1953, he married Jean Cameron of Zion (Mitchell's Corners) and they built a home there where they resided resided until 1965. They re-located re-located that year to R.R.#2, Port Perry and became members of Prospect Church and Community. Grant was a dedicated Employee of General Motors of Canada and had a record of 36 years employment employment with the company. Being an avid sports fan, Grant played soccer and hockey for many years - then was totally devoted to P.P.M.H. and worked as their president for six con secutive years. Just prior to his death, he received a lifetime membership membership to the club which was very special to him. He is survived by his wife Jean and children Sheila Chant, Shelley, Kevin, Joseph and Gregg. Also one sister Yvonne (Mrs. Fred Cowle) of Bowmanville and two brothers Glen Williams of Fergus, Ontario and Ross Williams of Hamilton, Ontario. Ontario. Funeral service conducted conducted by Rev.
