We were flown to the camp on a Boeing 737 from Trenton and soon found out that camp wasn't all fun and games. A demanding daily routine started at 5:45 a.m. involving drill training, a variety of instruction including: first aid, seamanship, communications, rifle range, sailing, initiative tasks, and Canada fitness. A long day ended at 11:00 p.m. lights out. A welcome break was ordered" bv overnight sailing expeditions on both the Tall Ships and Old Naval Vessels plus wilderness camps. Fowler, Mr. and Mrs. Ingram from this area attended the Quarter Quarter Century dinner at the Red Oak Inn in Peterborough Peterborough on Friday night and stayed over till Saturday. Saturday. Mrs. Westhauser and Lesley Lesley were with Thickson's on Sunday. A lost dog on Poplar Hill, west of here, caused a bit of excitement for G.M. workers workers coming from work. The dog was thought to be rabid. After the Animal Control was called, they said it belonged belonged to a Mr. Stuart and had all its shots, a false alarm. Monday morning calls are out and they are trying to catch the dog, as it turns out it wasn't Stuarts and it is rabid. Someone slipped up somewhere.
