Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Staple- ton and family were dinner guests on Sunday with Mrs. Gladys Osborn Port Hope. Mr. and Mrs. Hesper Dean of Orono visited Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Farrow on Thurs- d(w evening. Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Best visited Mrs. Ruth Chidley of Little Britain and all had dinner dinner on Sunday at Peterboro. Mr. Floyd Wood and Miss Leslie Mohum of Oshawa were dinner guests on Friday Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Reid Wood. Among those attending Shiloh Church Anniversary services on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Don Robin, Wallace Wallace Boughan, Lena Clysdale and Phyllis Peck. Mrs. Olive Henderson visited visited Friday afternoon with Mrs. Mary Brown at Park- view apartments of Newcastle. Newcastle. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Burly, Newcastle were callers on Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Vinkle. The U.C.W. monthly meeting meeting was held last Wednesday evening with 12 present, opening with the Purpose followed by a poem by the president. The Presbyterial meeting meeting on October 28th at Zion United church with donations donations of one day's pay and Jack Frost articles. Stamps of the parliament buildings or the Queen and Campbell soup labels to be collected and these would be taken to the Presbyterial meeeting Marlene Marlene Stacey agreed to obtain larger thermos pitchers. Margaret Elliott and Shirley Shirley Stapleton led in the De- notional on Thanks and Smiling. They also served a delicious lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Brenton Farrow, Farrow, Starkville, visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Vinkle on Sunday Sunday afternoon. They visited not only the Kaufman Shoes Outlet but the Farmer's Market Market and Shopping mall at Kitchener ana from there to the Rags toRiches stores and arrived home around 6:30. Mr. Maureen and Warren Stapleton were the church greeters on Sunday. The sermon sermon was entitled "Have we Revereneed the Son?" The choir sang "Fill my Cup Lord". At the close of the service Communion was observed and served by the Elders. On November 1st Baptism service service will be held. Next anniversary anniversary church services to be Oct. 25th with guest speaker Mrs. Dawn Vaneyk with special music. Next Sunday Thanksgiving service service will be held with decorations decorations for the event on Saturday Saturday at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Brenda Leudke was a dinner guest Sunday with her mother Mrs. Olive Henderson Henderson while their husbands were at Camp Canusa Lodge on Lake Temagami for the week end. Mrs. Lena Clysdale and Janet Paeden entertained Phyllis Peck to dinner at the Legion, Port Hope on Tuesday Tuesday to celebrate Phyllis 's birthday. Also Phyllis with daughter Mrs. Linda Cobble- dick of Orono were dinner guests on Friday with Mrs. Ron Robinson of Starkville for the same purpose. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Staple- ton were among the many attended the 50th wedding anniversaiy celebrations for mr. and Mrs. Charles Staple- ton held at Oddfellows Hall in Orono. Mrs. Jean Hall,Mrs. A.
