This winter marks the introduction introduction of a dance program program from the YWCA. In ta Leja, the Director and Principal Teacher of the Studio of Dance and Performing Arts, and a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing, will be the instructor for a wide variety of dance classes. She was previously teaching teaching in Bowmanville, and recently recently joined with the YWCA to offer this very popular program. Classes in ballet, pre-dance, jazz, and tap for children five years of age and over will be offered at both Ontario Street Public School and Waverley Public School, starting in January. The popular programs for children five years of age and under, will also be starting again in January. Various classes, including including gymnastics, story-telling, story-telling, and crafts, will be running running for an eight week period beginning in the new year. Several one day programs, programs, including: creation of medieval treasures; puppet making; a teddy bear Valentine's Valentine's party; and construction construction of a dinosaur mask and puppet, are all the brainstorm brainstorm of Mrs. Morrison. The brunch lover will enjoy the chance to watch a demonstration of a variety of dishes. Cajun and creole cooks will also have the opportunity opportunity to expand and diversify diversify their menus. Ski enthusiasts can take to the slopes for an evening ofdiscussion on equipment, how to purchase ski supplies and the upkeep of equipment. The YWCA even offers a cure for the February blues. A "Designer Showcase" Showcase" will feature Paula Lishman of Paula Lishman Fashions, in Blackstock, demonstrating demonstrating her recently developed technique of working with fur.
