While there, we were given a copy of The Aircrafter CAW 112 paper, announcing the decision decision of the Co-op Board of Dierectors to name the Coop Coop in honour of Sister Maurice Maurice Coulter. Maurice has worked at De Havilland Aircraft Aircraft since 1956 and has served on many committees in the Local, is the longest serving Executive Board member in a predominantly male Local and has been Recording Secretary since 1967. Each club is permitted to send two to three girls from each: level to the competition in Orono. The Newcastle girls had a skate-off in order to qualify.
