Wetherup - Taylor Wedding Trinity United Church, Bowmanville, was the setting for a beautiful fall wedding wedding on September 24, 1988, uniting in marriage Donna Marie, daughter of Mrs. Kathleen Taylor, Bowmanville, and the late Allyn Taylor, and Christopher John Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Wetherup, Oshawa. Reverend Frank Lockhart Lockhart officiated at the ceremony and Mr. Rowland Coombes was the soloist. The bride, who was escorted down the aisle by her brother-in-law, Michael Bu- koski, was radiant in a long white satin gown with a wedding band collar that dropped to a V-illusion neckline front ana back. The molded bodice was frosted with hand-beaded embroidery. Her full satin skirt was scalloped at the sides and back revealing crystal organza ruffles that formed a semi-cathedral train which draped from a bustle-back bow. She completed her bridal ensemble with a matching brimmed hat and carried a cascading bouquet of red roses and baby's breath. Ms. Bev Taylor, sister of the bride, was the matron of honour and the bridesmaids bridesmaids were Linda Taylor, sister of the bride and Sandra Fitzgerald, sister of the groom. The attendants were lovely in matching royal blue satin cocktail dresses dresses and they each carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations. The reception was held at the Holiday Inn, Oshawa, where the guests were greeted by the mother of the bride and the groom's mother.
