Christmas Party A very enjoyable pot-luck supper was enjoyed by the general U.C.W. on Thursday, Thursday, November 24, in Main hall of Orono United Church. President Doreen Wood welcomed the ladies and gave the Grace before supper. The tables were very pretty with arrangements and other decorations and of course the menu was very varied and tasty. Following dinner our guest was introduced, Mrs. Marlene Ross who rendered two delightful solos, accompanying accompanying nerself with guitar. The two selections were "Redeeming "Redeeming Love" and "One Day at a Time" and were most enjoyed by all. . The Christmas devotions also progressing on furnace. Our nail Bowmanville Travel... Here they received received costumes and effects to portray "The Twelve Days of Christmas" carol, in music and song. Much to the lent of tne audience, arie Tamblyn then made a presentation to our dedicated and retiring catering catering convenor of many years, Mrs. Donna Scott. A very attractive attractive collectors plate with "Loons" was given to a surprised surprised Donna. Treasurer Judy Plummer presented the 1989 budget and 1988 financial financial statements and both were accepted. A generous donation to the church was received with thanks from Chairman of Bd. of Stewards Stewards Isabelle Chailice.
