Following a short illness Frank Milton Sanderson died Thursday,November 3, 1988, in Osnawa General Hospital. He was in his 65th year. Born in Newington and educated in Newington and Finch he was the son of the late Mr.and Mrs. Richard Sanderson (nee Laura Arnold). Arnold). Well if you don't it is a day where children get a day off school and their teachers go to workshops or stay at the school and work on different topics. On Friday, Friday, November 18, 1988 schools from the Northumberland Northumberland & Newcastle Board of Education had a P.A. Day. One of our grade one teachers, teachers, Mrs. Murdoch, attended two workshops in Cobourg. She signed up for them and attended them on Friday. The workshops were at two different schools, which were: Cobourg Grant Sine School and Cobourg East Collegiate. Teachers sat in small groups and had group discussions. Mrs. Hilbom thinks all of this will help the class in all kinds of subjects. The teacher has been teaching this topic to her class so the grade one class will continue to like reading, writing and art. The children went around the school to look for the gingerbread gingerbread man pictures. Each picture introduced the children children to a different job in our school and a school helper such as the Custodian, Prin cipal or Secretary. -cdt Each of the children loved the story about the gingerbread man and all of this smelled and turned out great! Special Education by Amy Ramage Special Education is a class that get extra help, but they go out of the class to do French and gym. There are six kids in the class. Some of the class subjects are spelling and math. In spelling they have to pick their own words. Math sounds like fun. They are doing activities with Christmas Catalogues. At writing time they publish publish books. Now just who is the teacher of this great class. Well it's none other than Mrs. Peters. Pretty soon they will be going to the Bowmanville Museum.
