< \ i IS Tin* Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville. December 7. HISS Bell Girls Record Two Victories Baltimore -1 Bowmanville -1. The Bell girls were very sluggish in this "Yawner". )tn ter Boll teams managed only " ""alt- 12 shots each. Baltimore's Penny Stevenson gave her team the lead on an unassisted unassisted effort in the 2nd period. Finally at the 7:27 mark of the 3rd, the Bell group got on the scoreboard, thanks to a well-placed wrist shot by Joanna Hall. Unfortunately, the game ended with 5:40 remaining, remaining, due to a late start, and snuffed out any further chances. Nov. 28th - Keene Bowmanville - 0 Keene -1. The Bell bunch came out of Keene with a loss on the scoreboard, but looked like winners as they played an excellent game. They played ns a team, and skated long and hard to keep up with the very adept Keene girls. Tina Milson was her usual awesome awesome self between the pipes for the Bell Toros as she turned away 31 shots. She has again proved that she is not only the cutest goalie in tilt? league, but the best! Dec. 3rd - Darlington Havelock • 0 Bowmanville G. The Bell Intermediates came to play this night and showed no mercy, as thev bombarded a lean Havelock crew with 29 shots and 6 goals. The lender of the Bell pack was Joanna Hall, who notched a natural hat-trick by scoring the 1st 3 goals of the game. She also figured in on 2 other scoring plays, and left the rink with 5 points to her credit. Joanna modestly credits her success to good team work, as she was assisted assisted twice by Annissa Aus, who also set-up 2 other goals, and gathered 4 points of her own. TJ Johnston, Lynn Theriault Theriault and Alanna Brown each found the mark once to round out the scoring. Leanne Floyd picked up an assist on Jo's 3rd goal. It was a fine team effort, especially defensively, as Tina A. Mill- son earned her 2nd shut-out by turning away only 7 shots. It was a break for this busy net-minder. She only had to be cute this time! Congratulations, Congratulations, team - Keep up this pace and you'll be winners winners many times over! Dec. 4th Baltimore Bowmanville 4 Baltimore 2. Tire Bell team, still high from the previous night, pounced on their unsuspec ting ting hostesses right from the opening face-off. Strong forechecking paid off for the girls at the 8:26 mark of the 1st period, when Tammy McMullen and Annissa Aus kept pressure on the Baltimore Baltimore girls, allowing Joanna Hall to pickup a pass and slip it by a shaky Baltimore net- minder. Joanna added 2 more in the 2nd period for her 2nd hat trick of the weekend with asists going to Tracy Bumstead and Cynthia Cynthia Hilliard. Baltimore managed to spoil Tina Millson's bid for a shut-out on a power play goal at 3:23 of the 3rd, and beat her once more late in the period. But not before Joanna added her 4th of the game on a set-up by Alanna Brown. Joanna haa another prosperous outing, but so did the entire team as they out- shot Baltimore 27-9. A great effort team! Keep on skating - You're looking fine! Birthday Birthday wishes from the team go to Gail Millson. Joanna says "Sorry about the shut-out Mrs. M!"
