On Friday, Friday, January 6, they lost to Stouff ville 3-1. Toros had many scoring chances but they came up against hot goaltending and a few goal posts. Stouffville took a 2-0 lead in the second period before before Toros closed the gap on a goal by Niki Defreitas assisted assisted by Ryan Jackman and Brent Stockman. With less than a minute left Stouffville scored into the empty net. On January 7, Young Canada Day, Toros lost another another close one 4-3 against Newmarket. Again it was great goaltending that thwarted the Toros' attack as goalie Neil DePiero was M.V.P. for Newmarket.
