Havelock scored the first goal of the night at 8:09 in the first period. It took the Toro girls the period to realize that the referees weren't weren't going to call anything and if they wanted to score they'd have to really play hockey. Then, just seconds into the second period, Leeann Somerscales, assisted assisted by Lisa Morrison and Cheryl Ann Cole scored for the Toros. Havelock came back with another one to take the lead. However, Laura Laura Abrams, assisted by Suzanne Suzanne Brooks, scored to tie it up again! Then going into the third period, things started to get rougher as Havelock managed managed to get their third goal of the night. The Toro girls held their own with numerous injuries injuries and penalties during this period. They stuck in there, sometimes with only three girls on the ice for a tough win.
