Bowmanvillc, May 3. 1989 News from Enniskillen By Betty Wright At the Township buildings buildings in Hampton (north side of Taunton Road) there are three large recycling bins for metal cans, newspapers and glass. It is suggested that cans and glass be rinsed and labels removed. Cans can be flattened ( to reduce bulk), metal lids from glass jars are not acceptable. We urge the use of this recycling facility facility to reduce the amount of garbage. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Sanderson, Raglan, Mrs. Ron Sornberger and Jessica, Enniskillen were recent visitors visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Len Stainton were Linda Ciyderman, Kate Cassidy, Bowmanville, Bob Simpson and Gail Reynolds, R. R. #1, Bowmanville. Mrs. M. J. Hobbs and daughter Joan, Mrs. Earl Trewin, Joyce Virtue, Myrtle Myrtle Tamblyn and Mrs. Wilfrid Wilfrid Bowman were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McGill. On Sunday a keyboard organ was dedicated at our regular church service. It was bought with monies received received from donations to Enniskillen Enniskillen Church in memory of Mrs. Gertrude Lyons, Mr. Earl Trewin, and M. J. Hobbs. A beautiful wall clock was also dedicated. It was donated by Ella Bowman Bowman in memory of her husband, husband, Wilfrid Bowman. Edgar Edgar Wright assisted Reverend Bonnie Kelly in the dedication. We welcomed welcomed Mrs. Jacqueline Va- neyk at our service. She did double duty on Sunday as she played our organ in Ron's absence as well as at Tyrone. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lead- beater and Ryan, Baltimore were Thursday evening visitors visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Art Leadbeater. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Avery were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence- Avery. Mrs.. Jim Muller, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty Betty were Saturday birthday visitors of Mrs. Wilfrid Sanderson Sanderson at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sanderson, Brooklin and also visited there with Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ratz, Huntsville and Mrs. Jim Hamm, R. R. #1, Nestleton. Many happy returns returns of the day, Aunt Leta. Miss Myrtle Tamblyn and Mrs. Wilfrid Bowman were recent visitors of Mr. Milton Stainton and Miss Elva Orchard. On Saturday night Mr. and Mrs. Dick Howe had as guests for supper, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dickson, Bewdley, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Howe and family, Saintfield, Mr. and Mrs. Brad Huggins and family, Courtice. Miss Myrtle Tamblyn and Mrs. Wilfrid Bowman were Saturday visitors of Mrs. Robin Pearse, Central Park Lodge, Toronto. Mr. Dick Howe visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Harvey Howe in Lake View ; Manor, and other relatives in Beaverton. On Monday, May 1st the . 1st Enniskillen Guiding groups will hold two levels !of Advancements. Twelve •Brownies are flying up to .'Guides, four guides are advancing advancing to Pathfinders, two ' girls are receiving their All Round Cords which is the highest award in guides. The pathfinders will wel- ; come the new members and ■ will be receiving Challenge • Emblems. Refreshments will ' be served after the ceremo- - ny. The banquet will be held at Solina Hall on May 9th.
