The beautiful garden ceremony was written by the bride and groom and officiated officiated by the Reverend Brian Ransom. i The bride is the daughter of Ernest and Marion Knapp, Newtonville, and the groom is the son of Gary and Cathy La Plante, Coboconk. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal gown of white bridal satin which featured lace tiered sleeves, and a bodice trimmed with lace and pearls. A pearl head-piece held a finger tip veil which completed the ensemble and she carried a bouquet of red roses, white lilies accented with babies breath. '* The maid of honour was Brenda Knapp, Newtonville, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids were Deb Van- derveen, Orono, Danielle La Plante, Coboconk, sister of the groom, Michelle Evans, Pontypool and Jody Riley of Bowmanville.
