Impressive in size, the plaque carries the names of all those who made the complex a reality through their unselfish giving giving of time, effort and money to Skate '88. Ron Strike, who introduced Bobby Orr, spoke of him as a "hero to many a kid." Those words can also apply to the arena fundraisers fundraisers among whom are the members of the Bowmanville Bowmanville Rotary Club. There will be full page ads in the "Oshawa Times" and "This Week" in this week to advise times and places for registration. CONDENSED VERSION OF NEW BOUNDARIES Any player, or member of his family, living between Townline Road, known as Durham Regional Road No. 55, and Courtice Road, known as Durham Regional Road No. 34, and who played anywhere in the Oshawa Minor Hockey System last year, is eligible to play in Oshawa. If the decision is made to play in the Bowmanville league this year, you must continue in the Bowmanville system. It cannot be changed. All players living between Townline Road and Courtice Road will have to register register with Bowmanville after this upcoming season, unless this decision is made. Any resident now residing in or moving to property abutting onto Townline Road, known as Durham Regional Road No. 55,. both sides, will fall under the jurisdiction jurisdiction of Oshawa Minor Hockey Association, unless player was in Bowmanville Bowmanville system previously. The residency rule (residing in area) is cut off Oct. 8/89.
