I News from Yelverton By Harvey Malcolm Congratulations to Mark and Cathy Malcolm on completing completing 10 years with their service station and garage operation "Mark's Maintenance" Maintenance" and on observing the occasion with an open house on Saturday at tneir location location in South Nestleton. Quite a variety of valuable prizes were drawn for on Saturday evening. A few local residents attended attended some of the functions that took place at Orono Fair this past weekend. Our own participation was limited limited to attending the dance on Saturday evening with the Bill Taylor Band providing excellent dancing music; Gary Bristow was a member of the band. A little more dancing space would have made the hot and humid evening more bearable. Pretty Pretty hard to estimate the number number attending in advance, however the chariot race was quite an attraction. Belated congratulations to the "silent" partner of the Nestleton Correspondent - Mr. Sam Cawker on officially officially opening the Port Perry School named the Sam Cawker Cawker School in his honour. Quite- an honour. The only thing we ever had named after after us was a short street - "a dead end" at that! Glad to hear that Neil Malcolm is now making satisfactory satisfactory progress following his recent operation. All wish Neil a speedy recovery. Dwayne Glasbergen had a very successful day with his rabbits, showing them at Orono Fair and winning 8 firsts, 7 seconds and four thirds on Sunday.
