Each day, audiences can thrill to breath-taking aerobatics and aerial manoeuvres manoeuvres performed by some of the best pilots in the world. 1990 marks the 20th anniversary anniversary of our own Canadian Canadian Forces Snowbirds air demonstration team. Over the years, the Snowbirds have appeared before an estimated estimated 61 million spectators spectators across North America and they will surpass the 1,000 show mark tnis year. Considered by many the finest finest aerobatic demonstration team in the world, their performance performance definitely ranks in the "must see" category. This year is also the 50th anniversary of the inception of the British Commonwealth Commonwealth Air Training Plan, and many ' period aircraft will be on hand to celebrate the occasion. Just a few of the attractions include Jerry Billing's thrilling performance performance flying the Supermarine Supermarine Spitfire Mk DC and the Canadian Harvard Association's Association's exciting formation flight. You will also see the RCAF's first monoplane fighter, the Hawker Hurricane, Hurricane, and the backbone of RAF Bomber Command, the Avro Lancaster, take to the air once again. Lovers of modern high performance jet fighters, will not be disappointed either. A wide assortment of Canadian Canadian and NATO fighters will participate, including Canada's Canada's CF-18 Hornet and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. In stark ' contrast to the thunder and smoke of the jets, witness and whispering elegance of Manfred Radius' aerial ballet in his Salto H101 sailplane. CFB Trenton's Armed Forces Day celebrations will take place on the weekend of June 23rd and 24th. Gates open to the public at 9:00 a.m. each day. Plant to arrive arrive early and take in the ground displays before the Air Show takes off at 1:00 p.m. Cost is only $5.00 per adult and children 12 years and under are admitted free. The Base is located on highway highway 2 with easy access from highway 401. There is ample ample parking available. Please, no pets, bicycles, or skateboards.
