And, on Saturday evening I met with the Minister Minister of Agriculture at Queen's Park, to become part of a new rural advisory council that will deal with- rural needs of those MPP's representing rural districts. This committee will be looking looking into many rural issues, including farm credit rates, farm land uses, and rural post offices. . ' So, another exciting.week passes into the history books. Not a Fan of Mr. Mulroney Dear Sir: The leader of our nation has appointed a premier who is under investigation by the RCMP to a seat in the Senate. Earlier this year this same leader tried unsuccessfully unsuccessfully to have a very secretive and very, very confusing confusing constitutional amendment amendment shoved down the throats of Canadians (Meech Lake). Now, as bankruptcy rates soar and that ugly word, recession, recession, is on everyone's lips, this leader and his government government are preparing, what is in all probability the biggest . and most all-encompassing tax grab in Canadian history. history. I speak, of course of the notorious Goods and Services Services Tax. Shall I also speak of the absolute mess this leader has made of the relationship between anglophone and francophone Canadians, or the divisiveness his inaction, has bred between Canadians Canadians and their Native peo-- pies? Does this leader inspire the confidence of anyone out there? . : Has he shown the potential potential to unite and inspire rather than divide? He hasn't. Has he shown a desire desire to listen to the people of Canada, the people he leads? He hasn't. The leader I speak of is of course none other than Brian Mulroney who under the umbrella of a majority government goes prancing with muddied feet and dictatorial dictatorial assurance through the pages of Canadian history. Does Mr. Mulroney have the confidence of the people he leads? Ask yourself tnis question and send your answer answer to your local MP, or better yet send it directly to Mr. Mulroney's office.
