Juno Award-winner Charlotte Diamond captivated- captivated- a Bowmanville audience on Sunday afternoon in a concert which included lots of humour, audience- participation and musical variety. She entertained and educated educated about 200 parents and children attending the first in a series of three "Harmony" "Harmony" series performances taking taking place at the Bowmanville Bowmanville High School Auditorium. The Harmony Series is sponsored by The Canadian Parents for French. A Charlotte Diamond concert includes not only participation from the crowd but also songs which explore a variety of musical traditions, traditions, and languages. In a number such as "La Bamba", the kids are literally literally dancing in the aisles while some of the children selected from the crowd play percussion instruments with Charlotte on the stage. Songs such as "May There Always be Sun" are rendered in five different languages. And the musical numbers range from a rap tune to traditional traditional folk songs. Charlotte Diamond resides resides with her family in Vancouver, British Columbia. Charlotte says that her •experience as a teacher has certainly been useful in her- musical career.
