After planting 4,000 trees at Stephen's Gulch a few weeks ago, they planted another another 4,000 at Soper Creek Park in Bowmanville last week. The organization is helping to green the earth this year by the planting of trees internationally and lo.cally. Area schools are also helping with the project. It's Terrible Newcastle's municipal administrative centre has received an award from the Ontario Association of Architects. Architects. The architects who designed designed the building, A.J. Following the break, the meeting resumed with Table Topic Master, TM Gordon West, putting us through our paces in impromptu speaking. The topics were controversial and TM West asked one volunteer to speak for, and the other to speak against, his topics. TM Sher Leetooze won the Table Topic Trophy. The Business meeting commenced with New Business Business and concluded with the reading of the previous, meeting's minutes. TM Marg Kropf won the Spark Plug Trophy as a result of her motion that we have a potluck supper meeting during during June. Needless to say, that motion passed. Just before 9:30 p.m., Chairman Broderick introduced introduced the members at the head table, made his open ing remarks and welcomed everyone. With the Call to Order, the meeting ended. If this meeting seemed to you to be backwards, worry no more. For a change of pace and a challenge to members, the meeting was indeed conducted conducted in reverse order.
