He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary Ellis (nee Cole), his wife Hilda Robena Vanvol- kenburg and his son Keith Ray Ellis. He was born in Belmont Township and educated at Vansickle School. Before moving back to RR#1, Havelock, Havelock, Percy lived in Oshawa and Enniskillen. He was employed employed at General Motors for 27 years and retired for 24 ears. He was also a mem- er of the C.A.W. Surviving are his daughters daughters Shirley (Mrs. Gordon Gettins, Caesarea), Brenda (Mrs. Donald Millson, Oshawa), Patricia (Mrs. Fred Shackleton, Peterborough), Peterborough), his 10 grandchildren, grandchildren, four great grandchildren, grandchildren, and his loving friend Viola Steenburgh, Marmora. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's Church, Marmora, Ont. on March 30, 1991. Rev. James Armstrong officiating. Pallbearers were nis four grandsons, Kevin Millson, Daniel Shackleton, Gordon Gettins, and Clinton Ellis. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery, Havelock, Ontario. I munity Hall. Last Monday evening ten Newcastle Lioness members and six from Bowmanville travelled by bus to Kingston to attend the Kingston Lioness Lioness 50th charter night. United Church On Sunday, June 2nd, Sunday School anniversary was celebrated. Superintendent Superintendent Shirley Coyle led the service and introduced guest speaker Mrs. Anne Burnham Burnham of Cobourg. Mrs. Burnham Burnham narrated her original story of Growing in God's Way and it was enacted by volunteers from the Sunday School and congregation. The Junior Choir sang, Kids Under Construction and Look Up to the Sky. A prayer was read by teacher Pearl Noble. Sunday School presentations were made to those with 70% attendance.
