t 16 The Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, July 10,1991 OBITUARY E n §i nes Roaring and Burgers Sizzling at Annual Blackstock Tractor Pull Cathcline (Kay) Dodds After a valiant fight with cancer, Catheline (Kay) Dodds, aged 71, died in Memorial Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, on Thursday, June 27, 1991, following a six month illness. Born and educated in Dauphin Manitoba, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nikfor Baran. She was married November 11, 1943 to Leonard Dodds. She was a member of the United Church and had resided in Bowmanville 45 years. Surviving are her husband husband Leonard, son John, daughter-in-law Dorothy, S -andsons Kyle, Mark and arrett and sisters Helen, Sophie, and Tena. The Reverend N.E. Scha- merhorn officiated at the funeral funeral services held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, on Saturday. Pallbearers were Allen Lymer, Arnold Etcher, Frank Cervanko, ■ Jason McGill, . Kyle and Mark Dodds. The Outdoor Church service service oh Sunday morning at the home of Arn and Jean Williams as the joint service with Nestleton and Black- stock congregations was well attended. An excellent service service based on Canada's birthday was conducted by Rev. Dale Davis. Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Bill Johnson and son Willie, daughter Linda Stiles and their spouses and families on the passing of Bill Johnson last week. The funeral was held on Friday from Bowmanville with interment interment in Cadmus Union; Cemetery. Our thoughts of sympathy are with you all at this time. Leanna Bryans entertained entertained several friends for her 8th birthday. They enjoyed enjoyed swimming at her grandparents Bev and Shirley Shirley Black's pool in Oshawa. A shower for Jeff Millson and his bride-to-be Dolly Donahue last Sunday was held when his Wotten relatives relatives gathered at the home of Joan and Floyd Argue. The shower was followed with a family barbecue. On Saturday afternoon, Nancy and Bob Bryans along with cousins Jim and Bernice Bryans of Oshawa enjoyed a visit with other cousins in Kirkfield - Bud Byrans, Lloyd Bryans, Vern Bryans of Bolsover, Carol Bryans Toronto, Jim Bryans and family of Colborne, Bonnie Bonnie Crowther and Bryan, Raymond and Jean Bryans of Croton and Ray and Eileen Eileen Harper also of Croton. Congratulations to Cait- lin McCoy, Port Perry who caught a 90 cm Muskelunge in Lake Scugog. Helping to land the beauty were Aunt Nancy, Uncle Bill and Michael Michael Dickson of Burlington. Needless to say the whole Dorrell clan enjoyed a fish dinner.
