She conducted a lively business meeting in which a most important important point was made. Toastmasters Toastmasters is a totally voluntary club. One member presented a motion to require annual participation participation in at least one speech contest. This motion was soundly defeated, receiving just one vote in the positive. What this reinforcement of a TM principle does is confirm that at TM each person sets their own participation level. You can build your public speaking skills at your own pace. Lots of encouragement will be offered, but in the end you will determine when and how to step out of your continually continually expanding comfort zone. So, don't worry about what, we will ask you to do, we will accept accept it if you decline. However please accept this word of encouragement encouragement and join us for one of our regular Tuesday night meetings. Connie Nelson had help with the meeting. Marilynn Dow was table topic master. She gave each toastmaster a homonym with which to spin a story. Wanda Huntington won the TT trophy for her effort with patient and patient. Best speaker was won by Irene Konzelmann for her speech from the advanced manual. Less is More A simple oil and filter change is the best thing you can do for your car.
