Laurie Skirrow of Hampton was the fiowergirl. The groom was attended by Doug Graham of Bowmanville as his best man. Jason Johnston of Oshawa, the bride's brother was the usher. It's among the thousands of Christmas, gifts, baking, crafts, and other items which will be sold on Saturday, December 7, at Knox Christian School. The bazaar takes place in the afternoon and an auction will be held in the evening. December 4.1991 5 District Scouts Take Part In Wood Badge Training West Durham District, Scouts Canada, spent a busy last weekend when a Part I Woodbadge Training course was held at St. Francis of Assisi School in the Village of Newcastle. There was also a one day Seminar for Group Committee Committee members. Leaders spent their time learning how to bring a quality program to the youth, laced with lots of fun., On completion, approxi mately 25 " Beaver leaders and 15 Cub leaders were presented with their Wood- badge woggles and 10 Group Committee members received received certificates. Special note should be made at this time, that receiving receiving this training represents represents a lot of hard work on Scouting, the part of the leaders and -Submitted by: we certainly appreciate the Pot Godsmark, time and effort on their part. West Durham District It's a sad fact that most Training Co-ordinator people do not recognize all the time these volunteers spend with our youth in helping them grow into responsible responsible citizens. I would publicly like to thank all these great leaders and trainers for sharing this weekend. She pointed out that most problems in business and personal personal relationships arc due to poor communication skills. How can we become better communicators? By recognizing recognizing the need to develop these communication skills and to overcome feeling phony or embarrassed embarrassed when speaking to others.
