Bom in England, John MacGregor came to Canada in -1949. A resident of Toronto, he attended Central Technical Technical School. A recipient of many awards and grants since the 1970s, his work is included in the collections collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, The National Gallety of Canada, The Robert McLaughlin Gallery, The Winnipeg Art Gallery, and numerous corporate collections. He has taught art at The Artist's Workshop, from 1967 to 1977; the Ontario College of Art from 1970 to 1972; and in 1975; at York University from 1971 to 1973; at The New School of Art from .1972 to 1973 at Hart House, University University of Toronto from 1976 to 1977; and at The New School of Art from 1977 to 1979. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue by Joan Murray. Around the Town OSHAWA SYMPHONY CONCERT - Concertmaster Joseph Peleg will be the featured performer at the Sunday, April 25, concert of the Oshawa Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Peleg will perform Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole, Opus 21. The concert takes place at Eastdale Collegiate auditorium in Oshawa. Tickets are available in Bowmanville at Rickaby's. SPRING"DANCE - St. Therese's Church Hall will be the scene of a fundraising fundraising dance on Saturday, April 17. The event runs from eight p.m. to 1 a.m. and the entertainment includes music by the Oshawa Whitby Old time Fiddle Club.
