On Thursday, May 13th, a Guiding Guiding Parent Banquet was held in the C.E. Wing of the Hampton United Church. Guide Leader Elizabeth Bateman said it was the biggest turnout turnout yet. Over 100 Sparks, Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders with parents and other family members attended. A presentation was made by Brownie Leader Cheryl Waller to Marianne Keith. Marianne is also &■ Brownie Leader. She is stepping up to help with the Guides. The Guiding Parent Committee made a presentation presentation to the four Pathfinders, Melissa Allin, Iva Howard, Holly Broome and Ellen Pokorski. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright and Bev, Bowmanville, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wright, Miss Marguerite Wright and Mrs. Russell Ormiston, Oshawa, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty. This was also a gathering, celebrating family birthdays. The Enfield Country Quilt Show was held on May 15th at the Enfield United Church. We would like to thank all those who donated baked goods and make the quill show such a success. The Door Prize was won by Jan Towner, R.R. 2, Blackstock. Luis Lightning Baseball team played an Oshawa team on Sunday evening 22 to 16. Carlo Bortolazzo scored two home runs. Mr. Andre Comcllicr spent Friday in Belleville golfing with his Dad, Mr. Jacques Comellier. On Saturday, May 15th, we held our Annual Sunday School Anniversary Anniversary Dinner at the Church.
