The little ones enjoyed the petting zoo and the pony rides. Quite a number had costumers and decorated decorated bikes and wagons for the parking lot parade. Rae and Norma Wilkins were the judges. Races were held, and a dunking tank was well patronized. patronized. The Outreach Committee from the church once again provided a Child- Find booth with fingerprints being taken of each child by a real policeman. policeman. Joan Webb, Heather Myles and Joy Vaneyk handled the photos, measuring and information. The beef and hotdog barbeque was a real bargain; the salads were super! Ice cream cones were served to everyone. The senior citizens arranged arranged bingo games and prizes. Barney Barney appeared at 7 p.m. and everyone enjoyed the visit. A family dance completed the evening. Congratulations and thanks to those who did the organizing and helping. Some of the volunteers were: Peter Knowlton, Sandi Archi- band, Murray Yeo, Alf Millson, Bessie Bessie Craig, Goldie Tidd, Gwen Woodcock, Woodcock, Arlene Yeo, Julie Knowlton, and many others that I did not see. Sorry to report that Ken Smith is very ill in Bowmanville Hospital. Helen Glaspell is still in Oshawa General. The 60+ club held their final luncheon for the season last Wednesday. Wednesday. A good crowd enjoyed the salads. salads. Club 50 members had their annual lunch out at the Dutch Oven on Wednesday, June 2. Some of their members also attended the Open House and tea at North Courtice School. The UCW meeting for June took place on Wednesday, June 9 at Bowmanville Bowmanville Restaurant. Eleven women enjoyed a meal together, a visit and the shortest business meeting ever. Ruth Stravakos is to be commended for her leadership for the year. The UCW presented an interesting church service on June 6. Ruth Stravakos Stravakos conducted the opening. Jane Keene illustrated the children's story with a flannelgraph. Loved the caterpillar! caterpillar! Marg Knowlton received the offering, and scripture readings were done by Pat D^sdale and Sheryl Hunter, Jean Slemon, complete with costume, commented on changes in the church. Bessie Vaneyk celebrated our past with the story of Elisabeth Eynon. Jacqueline Vaneyk discussed the future. Greeters were Arlene Rowan and Dorothy Beech. Lunch and fellowship followed the service. A good number of LOL and LOB A members from Tyrone and surrounding lodges attended the service service on Sunday after parading through the village led by Kendal band. Following the service, the Tyrone Tyrone Lodges entertained their guests and the congregation to a lovely lunch in the Orange Community Hall. A sad note to the service came when Reverend Bonnie Kelly announced announced that she will be leaving our charge in September for a post in Northwest Ontario. Bonnie will be sorely missed in this area, and she is taking Maud Grimes with her! Summer Hours On Sunday, June 27, at 11 a.m., there will be an outdoor service for both Enniskillen and Tyrone churches churches at Haydon School Yard. This will bo followed by a politick lunch and games. Everyone is welcome. Sunday, July 4 and 11, services will be in Enniskillen at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 18 and 25, services will be in Tyrone at 11 a.m. Please note these times. We have one service service for the charge each Sunday during during July. Both churches arc closed during August. Vacation Bible School will be held in Tyrone each morning starting July 12.
