You can see these paintings paintings at thé Administrative Centre during regular hours throughout October, November and December. ; Busy Month for Students at Pines September has been a very busy month at the Pines! The first week was filled with welcomes to new and old students and staff. Students were kept busy learning new timetables, discovering the layout of the school, renewing old friendships and making new ones. A warm Pines welcome is given to our new vice-principal Mrs. Zelda Armstrong who comes to us from Central Public School in Bow manville. She has had a wonderful introduction introduction to The Pines and is impressed impressed by the friendliness demonstrated by everyone. At the end of the first week, staff and students prepared for the annual school participation at The Orono Fair. Each of the four Houses, into which the student body is divided, practised marching and cheering for the big parade. The Grade eight boys' team won the gold medal at the tournament played on September 29. Last spring, generous donations donations of trees and perennials made it possible for the students to create a natural habitat witlt walkways for botlt humans and creatures to enjoy. Although the ragweed tended to lake over during the summer months, nil the plants thrived and with some vigorous vigorous "cultivating" the Habitat is again being opened up to students and creatures alike! At the lust count, the Habitat is now home to two ■ toads, n family of mice, one grass snake and numerous birds for which feeders will .he erected for winter feeding.
