Mrs. Nellie McIntosh, Watertown, New York, spent last week with her sister, Marjorie Hagcrman. Mr. Douglas Rowe and daughter, Annette Nugent and Jenna attended the 40th anniversary party of brother Fred and his wife,'Arlene, in Port Hope on Saturday evening. On Tuesday Jean Rickard and Kathleen Powell were guests of Trentway Bus Line to the Trade Show in Hamilton Civic Convention Centre, sponsored by Motor Coach Industries. The show was concerning tourism. On Wednesday afternoon at the home of President Darlene Sullivan, the executive of the Newcastle Horticultural Horticultural Society held their meeting. Plans were made for the Christmas Show and Pot Luck dinner which is held at the Newcastle United Church Sunday School Hall on November 30th. Recently Eleanor and Jack Perrin received word that Keith Aiken (61 years) passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta. His funeral was held on Wednesday October 27. The Aiken family resided in Newcastle village many years. We extend sympathy.
