Early December forays to Wark- worth and Colbome were both low- scoring, tight-checking affairs. Our home side came up just short on both occasions. These gritty, never-say-die performances performances are becoming typical of this hard-working team, reminiscent of a certain blue and white outfit 50 or so miles to the west. Sin 'n' Sip returned home on December December 9 to face their fellow Newcastle Newcastle team, sponsored by Great Pine Ridge Kinsmen. This rare home vs. home encounter was another another hard-fought affair featuring superb goaltending at both ends. Both sides played their hearts out to a 1-1 tie. Afterwards, each team selected their three stars. Kinsmen were represented represented by goaltender Liz Millson, Nicole Pot and Jessica Andrews, while goaltender Karen Richard, Gelding Wins Morgan Horse Championship Maridy Forsey and Erin Moore excelled excelled for Sit 'n' Sip. It must be noted that every player on either side deserves honourable mention for this exciting game. Sit 'n' Sip then journeyed to Mill- brook. By playing hard and sticking to their usual game plan, the delighted delighted team came home victorious. The 2-1 final score was a tribute to excellent goaltending and defence. It was a classic struggle by two evenly-matched teams, resulting in a 2-1 victory for the Hornets. Chris Burritt in the Hornets' cage, was a standout, as was Nick Lucyk for Pine Ridge.
