Bom in Oshawa, the daughter of Clifford and Lila Colwill, she was educated educated at Hampton Public School and Bowmanville High School. On November 28,1940, she was married to Alvin Bruce Yeo. A resident at R.R. 1, Orono from 1950 - 1993 she had previously resided resided in Hampton. Mrs. Yeo was a member of Orono United Church, a homemaker and a farmer. He had been ill five and a half months. Bom in Bowmanville and educated educated there and at Burketon, he was the son of John and Ida Maude McDonald. McDonald. He was married in 1926 to Myrtle Myrtle Johnston who passed away in 1979 and to Dorothy Pollock in 1980. A Bowmanville resident for 65 years, he had resided at Strathmanor three years. He retired from Goodyear in 1965, and was a member of Trinity United Church, and of the Senate Club. Surviving arc his wife Dorothy, daughters Muriel (Mrs. Rac Abcr- nclhy), Marlene (Mrs. Ed Jarvis), stepdaughter Shirley (Mrs. Gerry Brown), a sister Ruby (Mrs. Fred Harding), brothers Harold, Kitchener, Russell, Detroit, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters Greta (Mrs. T. Bailey), Edna (Mrs. Bill Hall), Eva and Hilda, brothers William and Charles. Funeral services were held on Friday Friday at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville, with Reverend Frank Lockhart officiating. Bom in South Bcicrland, the Netherlands, she was the daughter of Aric van der Hock and Jannigjc Krui- dcnicr. Educated in the Netherlands she was married May 4, 1939, to the late Adriaan Lcendcrl Bons who passed away in 1990. A resident in Bowmanville at 47 Church St,, Bowmanville, for 20 years, she had previously resided in the Netherlands, coming to Canada with the entire family in 1959 and settling in the Bowmanville area. A devoted wife and mother, she was a dedicated homemaker and was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Whitby. Surviving are daughters Jean Stinson, Stinson, Grande Prairie, Alberta, Ema Wensvoort, British Columbia, Lia Bons, Bowmanville, Willie Hammond, Hammond, Peterborough; nine grandchildren, grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters sisters in Canada and a brother in Holland. She was predeceased by her parents, parents, husband, sons Adriaan and Aric, grandsons Jacob and Adriaan and a son-in-law John Stinson. Funeral services were held on Thursday at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Funeral Home, Bowmanville with Pastor Pastor A1 Honken. Charles Harold Nesbitt A lifelong resident of Durham Region, Region, Charles Harold Nesbitt, died Sunday, December 26, 1993, in Memorial Memorial Hospital Bowmanville, in his 86th year. Bom October 15, 1908 in Ncstle- ton, he was the son of the late George and Blanche (Proutt) Nesbitt. He married the former Clara Mae Porteous, November 1, 1934, in the United Church Hastings. He is also survived by his sons Gary and wife Donna, Oshawa, Ross, and wife Roberta, Orono, five grandchildren, grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, granddaughter, sisters, Mabel Doak, Orillia, and Marjorie Morrison, Toronto. Mr. Nesbitt retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Bowmanville in 1969 after 25 years as a machinist. From 1969 to 1984 he was the caretaker of the United Church Fresh Air Camps on Lake Scugog, where he was part of the team of caregivers to many underprivileged children from Toronto. The funeral service was held, Thursday at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Funeral Home, Bowmanville, with Reverend Reverend Albion Wright of Mississauga, officiating.
