* Close Competition for En-Pro Associates at Lindsay Tournament The Independent, Canadian Statesman Weekender, Bowmanville, Saturday, January 22,1994 7 Family Auto Ends Regular Season The En-Pro Associates Major Peewee Toros travelled to Lindsay this past weekend to compete in their tournament. In the preliminary round, they coiild only manage one win in three games. But, the scores only proved that the competition was very even. The Toros started with a 2-1 loss to Markham, which was decided in overtime, with each team taking off a player every minute until it was down to one on one. It was scoreless until the third period when each team traded goals. Game two proved to be another hard-fought contest. Burlington got on the scoreboard first. Robbie Appleby Appleby tied it up at 3:10 of the first Dennis Pizzeria On Runway to Playoff Destiny It was a smooth take-off for the Dennis Pizzeria baby bulls as they downed Whitby by a 4-0 score. With the win, the plane remained at a constant altitude before reaching new heights as they prepared for a dogfight with the Pickering Panthers. Panthers. The pilots got control once again and limped the plane along to a place they could set down. They 'landed softly to a 5-1 win over Richmond Richmond Hill. After some practice work on the plane, the baby bulls are ready to fly to the end of the season and soar into the playoffs. With a couple of more games to iron out the bugs, it looks like the bulls could find themselves themselves in second place, behind Pickering. Pickering.
