Bowmanville Optimist Club Vice-President Bill Whaley stated, the Optimists are anxious to get the car wash under way. It will be a fund-raiser for numerous projects of the service club. YARD SALE AND BARBEQUE HELP FOOD BANK - The public public is invited to attend a barbeque and yard sale to benefit the Helping Hands Food Bank on Saturday, May 14. This event will take placé at 2170 Prestonvale Rd., in Cour- ,tice. Proceeds will go towards some much-needed repairs for the Food Bank. People are also asked to bring non-perishable goods.
