Our President, Paula Pascoe, opened the meeting with the 4H Pledge followed by the roll call. There were 21 members present. We divided, into two groups and judged a pen of heifers and a pen of two casts, one plays at home while the other tours. Dinner was prepared and served by the members of the cast who then changed into their special outfits to perform the show. After a most enjoyable show the Lions were invited to tour the workshop workshop where the wonderful props are designed and constructed. Here, they met Mary Thornton, Head of Visual Art Effects. Mary is not only the mother of Diane Dupuy, founder of Famous People Players, but an artistic artistic and talented lady who is responsi ble for much of the success celebrated celebrated by the troupe. The Lions than met the cast, as they chatted and signed the programs it was evident that their warm, honest personalities help make this unique show the success it deserved. After the tour the Lions were treated to refreshments and dessert, then on board the bus for the trek back to Newcastle. Although it rained all the way home, the weather couldn't dampen the warm feelings they had acquired for the Famous People Players!
