Robert Francis (Frank) Peter The death of Robert Francis (Frank) Peter, from cancer, occurred in White Rock, B.C., on Sunday, July 24,1994. Bom in Haileybury, Ontario in 1921, he was the son of Francis (Frank) Peter and Mabel Frances Golding Summerby. Educated at the Haileybury School of Mines, he pursued a career in mining (metallurgy) and lived and mined in Timmins, before and after four years service with the Royal Canadian Canadian Engineers in W;W. 2. He also mined in South Porcupine, Elliott Lake, Toquepala, Pem, Ireland and Matagami, Quebec. For 19 years prior to retirement to White rock in 1986, he worked at St. Marys Cement, Cement, Bowmanville as Master Mechanic. Mechanic. He is survived by his wife Dorothea Dorothea Jean (nee Tuck), daughter Elizabeth Elizabeth Ann, son Ian David, and two grandsons. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Jean in 1967. Bom in Manvers Township, and educated at Oak School, she was the daughter of William Curtis and Emily Emily Beaman. On June 20, 1931, she married William Spence Gordon. A resident of Orono for 23 years, she had previously resided at the 6th Concession, Clarke Township. She was an adherent of Kendal and Orono Orono United Churches, a member of Heather Rebekah Lodge #334 Orono, Leskard U.C.W. and Orono Senior Citizens Club.
