TM Connie Nelson gave the membership membership a report on the Orono Fair during the business meeting. Our booth was very well-received and many interested people stopped by to inquire about Toastmasters. We came away with some good leads for potential members. Women of Distinction Nominations Needed Women from around the region will be gathering on Thursday, Nov. 3, 1994, for the 13th annual YWCA Women of Distinction Awards, The guest speaker at the dinner will be the President and owner of The Body Shop Canada, Inc, Margot Fransscn. Nominations for the eight categories categories this year arc due by Friday, Sept. 30. The expanded categories arc: • Arts & Culture; • Business, Professions & Trades; • Communications & Public Affairs; Affairs; • Community Service; • Education, Training & Development; Development; • Health Care; • Sciences & Technology; • Sports, Fitness & Recreation, and • Young Woman of Distinction. Along with changes to this year's list of categories, the Women of Distinction Distinction Planning Committee has changed the location of the annual YWCA fundraising dinner. This year the dinner will be held at the LVIV, the St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Hall.
