Region. Now in its second year, this haunted house is becoming a Durham Halloween annual tradition. CREEPERS CREEPERS is a joint venture between Oshawa's Simcoe Hall Settlement House and Upstream Entertainment. This annual Halloween event is a project to help the United Way reach its 1994 goal of $3,200,000. "The kids will have fun, learn about Halloween Halloween and help those less fortunate than themselves in the community," says Upstream's Executive Director, Don McLean. "It's the ultimate choice for Durham families to get into the spirit of Halloween while supporting a good cause." A United Way agency, the Simcoe Hall Settlement House is a local nonprofit nonprofit agency which offers a community community food bank, women's workshops and children's recreational facilities for Oshawa and Claringlon residents. Working in conjunction with Upstream Upstream Entertainment, the Simcoe Hall Settlement House will present this "Spooky Spectacle". Simcoe Hall Settlement House and the Oslmwa/Whitby/Claringlon chapter of the United Way will benefit directly directly from this event. Last year, over Il 1,000.00 was raised for the United Way campaign. "By hosting "CREEPERS" for the Untied Way, we arc helping out one of our main funding contributors," says Simcoe Hall Settlement House Special Events Co-Ordinator, Gary Komatz. u \Ve have been helped out so much by the Untied IVrty over the years, this is our way of giving a little back." "CREEPERS" will provide thrills, fun, and laughter to area children ages 6 and up. A Halloween activity urea featuring pumpkin curving, a "scary senses" exhibit mill Haunted Talc storytelling will cultivate spirit for all. The ultimate "FcarFcsl", is a haunted house with over ten rooms inhabited by twenty-five Halloween characters, TREEPERS" is open to the general public from Octolter 13th to October 31st. The doors will creak open to guests at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays weekdays mid 2:00 p.m. on weekends.
