NHL Goalie Visits Square Boy Practice The Square Boy Pizza minor novice Toros have filled a lull in their schedule by playing a couple of exhibition games, the first against Markham triple 'A'. The Toros had their hands full in their search of the triple 'A' formula to beating one of these teams. Markham Markham led 3-0 after three periods of play, when they put an extra five minutes on the clock and Garrett Nemisz scored one for the Toros. Perhaps that's the secret, to play longer games. The next game was against North Toronto of the MTHL 'AA' loop. This team is becoming quite a familiar familiar opponent, as they are trying very hard to beat the boys and hone their skills while trying. The coaching staff and the Toros thank the teams for travelling to Darlington and playing great hockey. hockey. We look forward to more rematches, rematches, win or lose. The hard work by all team members members was rewarded at practice by a surprise visit from Montreal Canadiens Canadiens netminder, Ron Tugnutt. Ron displayed his soft hands by being a magician with his stick as he played with the puck. Goaltenders Justin Vandebelt and Andrew King's eyes were the size of hockey pucks as Ron paid special attention to the two, by performing a goalie clinic for the boys. Ron enjoyed the ice time as he waits for the NHL to get back into high gear. All the boys received an autographed autographed picture, and many had hats and sticks signed for the perfect keepsake. The team would like to extend a special thank you to Ron for driving to the arena, in our worst snow storm of the year, and adding to our practice with his expertise of the game. This will be a practice that won't be long forgotten. After it was done, it was hard to tell by all the smiles on the faces who had more fun, the players or Mr. Tugnutt. On the way home, some of the players uttered those dreaded words we as parents fear. Some said, "today "today I wish I was a goalie." Sorry, son, the equipment's too dam expensive. expensive. We hope all the players enjoyed the afternoon after practice, as many were going sledding, and some were going to search for that perfect Christmas tree, again. Until next time, have fun and work hard. You just never know who might show up at a practice. Just Window Shopping? r^Ü IHflfe Mace Cut yourself a great deal this winter and save big time!!!
