In the morning they visited the St. Lawrence Market to sample the sights and tastes of the various cultures displayed during this festive season. In the afternoon, the students viewed an excellent presentation of Dickens' "A Christmas Christmas Carol" at the Young People's Theatre. A special thanks goes to the cooks and to those parents who will be helping to serve the food! The opportunity for the whole school to enjoy this time together before the holidays is greatly appreciated. All proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the Salvation Army. Clubs The French Club has had some very successful meetings with Mme. Brasch and the members have greatly enjoyed making their French culinary delights! They look forward to more tasty meetings in the new year! The Environmental Club, under the guidance of Mrs. Page and Mr. Kerr, is once again hosting the Door Decorating Contest for the classes. School Store On October 24, the students of Mr. Kerr's and Mrs. McFadden 's Special Education 7/8 class opened their school store, "The Lair" to the students of The Pines. This store gives the students the opportunity to buy school supplies, hot breakfasts, juices and snacks.
