Generally speaking Natural Gas is the lowest Ground Source. Heat Pumps slightly slightly higher followed by Wood, Oil, Propane, then straight electric heating. Keep these examples for reference reference especially if you are considering considering a switch to another fuel. For people on electric heat the savings can be very high to switch to another fuel source! Your home will be cheaper to heat and more attractive to a future buyer by having a low cost source of heating in it.
