It's a day to remember the many contributions contributions to Oshawa made by R.S. McLaughlin and a day to enjoy the magnillcient estate which Col. Sam and his family family first called home over eighty years ago. The festivities have a strong inclination to family- fun, another tribute to the McLaughlins and their great interest in the quality of family family life in this community. Line Dancers and the Special Edition Cloggcrs. There will be a display/sale by the Oshawa Art Association and displays of antique carriages, sleighs and old cars and remote-control remote-control helicopters. Kids will enjoy the llsh pond and, new this year is "Kellogg's Karavan" featur ing activities for children and their parents (sampling too!). Picnicking is encouraged; hot dogs and refreshments will be available too. The licensed Garden Teahouse restaurant is also open for lunch by the spectacular Formal Garden fountains.' Guided one-hour mansion tours will also be available from 10:00-4:00 at fifteen minute intervals. Event parking has been arranged at O'Neill Collegiate and at the Oshawa General Hospital Garage on Alma Street at a special rate of $1/car.
