Students begin first year on January 4, 1999 and finish on August 13, 1999, just in time to enter second year in September. Business Administration offers a common first year. During semester one, students are exposed to a wide range of subjects. In second semester, semester, they begin to specialize, specialize, choosing two option subjects. Beginning in third semester, students narrow their field of sper cialization to one option. Students in all Business Options arc eligible to graduate upon successful completion of either two or three year program. Business Options include Accounting, Business General, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Marketing and Operations Management. Graphic Design offers a wide range of dynamic career choices to anyone who is creative. This intensive intensive program will provide students with a solid understanding of all stages of design and printing processes. Emphasis is placed on web page design, corporate image, product packaging and advertising copy. In the General Arts and Science program, students can explore career options to make effective occupa tional and educational decisions through a general, general, postsccondary education. education. Some of the subjects include Sociology, Psychology, Computers, Human Relations, Mathematics and Writing Skills. After the completion completion of first year, students are eligible for a certificate. certificate. General Arts and Science is an excellent program for mature students students returning to school. Anyone with related Ontario Academic Credits, college or university credits credits may be eligible to enter directly into the second semester of first year of most Durham College diploma programs.
