Organizers of the concert co-ordinated a different program this year, introducing the first creative talent show pul on by B.H.S. students. Julie Elliott, one of the main organizers, organizers, discussed some of the talent that appeared in the show. "A celebrity skit was choreographed, with appearances from Dolly Parton, Cyndi Laupcr, Elvis, Boy George, Madonna, Tina Turner and Michael Jackson". Other performers included Matt Walkout, who entertained the crowd with dangerous lire eating and Mr. Stokes' Motown band played a couple of their favourite tunes. As usual, the rivalry between the OAC Boys and Girls was in full force, each striving to out do the other in the annual skits. The rivalry is not just a part of the Christmas Concert, however. The antics of the OAC's arc flying all through the school year. One of the favourite performances each year is the secret teacher skit performed performed by the staff with Lindop and Ross being two of the main organizers. Student Council also performed a skit revealing their worst sins. Another great aspect of the show was the price of admission. To keep in the spirit of joy and giving, each student entering the concert was instructed to pay with a non perishable food item to help those in need have a special Christmas. The food drive was a great idea and a /) \ Celebrating the Arts About 100 students from.The Pines Senior Public School and Clarke High School participated in the traditional traditional Christmas dessert concert. Members of The Pines Jazz Band are pictured above. The evening also included included soloists, the Grade 10 Concert Band from Clarke, The Grade 10 Chamber Ensemble and The Pines Concert Band. The intermission included a chance for the audience to sample desserts and a|so view selected works by visual arts students. The evening of art, music and desserts took place Wednesday, December 16.
