This was an even match with both teams working hard. The only scoring of the game came in the second period with Oshawa getting two unanswered goals. February 14 - On Valentine's Day the Eagles travelled to Uxbridge. This one was an exciting game with great passing and good end-to-end play. The final score was 4-2 for the Eagles. February 21 weekend - The Eagles travelled to a tournament in Marmora. Game 1 - The Eagles went up against a tough Norwood team. They were outplayed to a 5-0 loss. Keegan Lawson won the MVP award for his hard work. Game 2 - The Eagles Mackie Automotive Systems Eliminate Markham went up against Hcspclcr. This one was an even match. The Eagles had lots of scoring chances in the first, but couldn't seem to put one past the Norwood nctminder. There was no scoring until halfway through the second when Hcspclcr put one on the board. It wasn't until the 6:33 mark of the third that Amber Ellis was able to get the rebound from a backboard shot by Brendan Grigg to finally get the Eagles on the scoreboard to tic the game. Time ran out and the game was to be decided with a shoot out. Each team chose three shooters. The Eagles shooters were Amber Ellis, Christopher Konarowski and Scott Tamblyn. Both Amber and Christopher were able to successfully put bullets past the Norwood nctminder. nctminder. At the other end of the rink the hot Eagles net- minder, Dan Jackson, stoned all three Norwood shooters to take the Eagles to a victory and on to the "C" Championship. Amber Ellis was selected MVP of the game. Game 3 - The "C" Championship was against the tough host team Marmara. This was all Marmara with a 10-4 loss for the Eagles. Eagles goals scored by Christopher Konarowski, Amber Ellis, and two for Brendan Grigg. Assists went to Keegan Lawson, James Parks and Jeremy Jefferson. Brendan Grigg was chosen MVP of the game. At noon, during a short break in the action, there was a skills competition with each team choosing one shooter and one goal- tender to represent each team. Bathe finished off the play to put the Toros ahead 2-0. David Ross rounded out the Toro scoring with Allore and Prince earning the assists. The Mackie Toros travelled travelled to Markham for game three of the series. However, the Toros felt right at home as they again shut out the Waxers 5-0. The Toros, held scoreless by Markham in the first period, scored three goals in the second period. David Ross knocked in a Mitch McMichacl rebound to put the Toros in the lead to stay.
