On Friday, March 2, an open house for new members will be held at the Clarington Beech Centre, 26 Beech Ave. in Bow- manville. Saturday, March 3, Wilmot Creek residents will present 'Winter Thaw 2001,' a musical variety show and fundraising event, set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 16 is a busy day with a men's breakfast, complete with guest speaker at 9 a.m. and a social dance being held from 1 to 4 p.m. Smile Theatre will present 'Made in Canada' Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. Admission Admission is $8. Pub fun night with musical duo Betty Anne and Brian will be held Saturday, March 31 at 8 p.m. Admission is $10. The association also offers bridge, euchre, and a hot homemade homemade lunch every Tuesday at noon. Tuesday afternoons, the 'Newcomer's Group' gets together together to socialize and chat. There is also square dancing and an improv group. The association welcomes people 55-plus to enjoy the new Activity Centre. The CAAC is a volunteer advisory committee whose goal it is to assist the Municipality in its efforts to identify, review, discuss and make recommendations recommendations to Council on agriculture and agricultural related issues. The Committee will consist of nine (9) members who will be appointed for a term of three (3) years to coincide with the term of Council.
