On Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 3:45 p.m. in the area of Meams Avenue and Guildwood Drive, a man drove his truck across the patli of three girls and began making "perverted groaning" noises while waving an open pornographic pornographic 'magazine at them, police said. Two of the girls were 10 and the third was much younger. "This person is obviously mentally ill," said Inspector. Tom Cameron of Durham Regional Police. "They were crossing a crosswalk when lie drove his pickup across the path so they couldn't get past. They tried to go around him and he drove forward and then back so they couldn't get around him. He was looking around to make sure no adults were around, but someone did come along in a car and he drove away. "We have not had any other incident like this that I'm aware of," lie added.
